Dr. Lacie McAbee is a board-certified family psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee. She currently holds a doctorate degree in nursing practice from University of Tennessee. She started her career in healthcare as a paramedic in 2000. She graduated with a certificate in Emergency Medical Technology – Paramedic from University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMC) and worked in various places in Mississippi. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Nursing from Excelsior College in 2007. She worked for 6 months on an oncology-hematology medical-surgical floor at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. She then transferred to ICU stepdown and also worked in ICU. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UMC in 2009 and began working in medical ICU at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. In 2014, she transferred to the emergency department there. She graduated from UMC with a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in family psychiatric-mental health in 2016. She worked as a psychiatric- mental health nurse practitioner at Memphis Mental Health Institute from July 2016 to July 2018. In January 2018, she started Reflections Mental Health, LLC. She is also a field advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
