New Patients

Can I have my first appointment by telehealth?

No. We require your first appointment be completed in person. We believe that meeting with you face-to-face is an important part of getting to know you and completing your initial evaluation. After your first visit, telehealth may be an option for follow-up appointments when appropriate.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Before your first appointment, you will receive a link by text message and email to complete your new patient paperwork. You may use either link to access and complete your forms. Once submitted, your paperwork is automatically sent to our office.

You should receive five forms:

  • New Patient Registration

  • New Patient History and Questionnaire

  • Policies and Consent

  • Medication Consent

  • Financial Agreement

All forms must be completed BEFORE your appointment.

If you are unable to complete the paperwork online, please contact our office before your appointment so we can provide you with paper forms. Paper forms may be picked up at our office or mailed to you.

If completing paper forms, please make sure all forms are completed and bring them with you to your appointment.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

Your first appointment is a comprehensive evaluation. You will meet directly with your provider, who will take the time to get to know you and understand what brings you to Reflections Mental Health. We will discuss your current concerns and symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, previous treatments, and your goals for treatment.

As part of your initial visit, we will also check your vital signs, height, and weight, and a urine drug screen will be completed.

Following your evaluation, your provider will discuss your treatment options with you and, when appropriate, medication treatment can be started at your first appointment. Together, you will develop an individualized treatment plan based on your needs and goals.

Please feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your concerns. Our goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard and involved in your care.

Services and Treatment

Do you prescribe controlled medications?

Controlled medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate and in accordance with our practice policies and applicable regulations.

Do you prescribe Suboxone or other buprenorphine medications?

No. Reflections Mental Health does not prescribe Suboxone, Zubsolv, Bunavail, Subutex, Sublocade, Brixadi, or other buprenorphine products for the treatment of opioid use disorder.

Does your clinic provide Vivitrol injections?

No. Reflections Mental Health does not provide Vivitrol (naltrexone) injections. However, oral naltrexone may be prescribed when clinically appropriate.

Medication and Therapy

Do you provide therapy?

Reflections Mental Health specializes in psychiatric medication management and does not provide individual therapy. If we feel therapy would be beneficial as part of your treatment, we will discuss this with you and can provide a referral to an appropriate therapist.

Are therapists available at your office?

Yes. An independent therapy group rents space in our office and provides therapy on certain days of the week. While they are located in our office, they are a separate practice from Reflections Mental Health. Availability is based on their schedule, and you may also choose a therapist outside of our office.

How do I schedule an appointment with the therapist who sees patients at your office?

The therapy group is a separate practice and is not part of Reflections Mental Health, LLC. Therapy appointments, scheduling, billing, and treatment are handled directly by the therapy group.

If you are interested in therapy services, you may contact Solution Center Counseling directly at 662-469-3216 or solutioncentercounseling.com

Why might I need both medication and therapy?

Medication and therapy can work together to address different aspects of mental health. Medication may help manage symptoms, while therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and coping strategies.

Some people benefit from medication alone, some benefit from therapy alone, and others benefit from both. Your treatment plan is individualized to your needs, and we will work with you to determine what approach may be most helpful.

Appointments and Scheduling

Do you take walk-ins?

No. All appointments are scheduled in advance, and we do not accept walk-ins. Please contact our office or use our online scheduling option to schedule an appointment.

How long is an appointment?

Appointment length varies depending on the type of visit and your individual needs. Your first appointment may be up to one hour, while follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Appointments can be scheduled online using the Schedule an Appointment button at the top or bottom of our website, or by calling our office at 662-612-6089.

Once you become an established patient, you will have access to our Patient Portal and mobile app, where you can schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments. Established patients may also manage appointments by calling our office or using the Schedule an Appointment button on our website.

Rocky, Our Therapy Dog

Is Rocky present during appointments?

Rocky is a therapy dog in training and may be present in the office on some days. Because he is still completing his training, he is not at the office every day. His schedule may also vary depending on the number of appointments and activities taking place in the office.

Rocky has quickly become a favorite around the office, and we often hear from patients who are excited to see him! While we can't guarantee that Rocky will be here for every visit, we do our best to have him at the office when his training and the day's schedule allow.

What if I am uncomfortable around or allergic to dogs?

Your comfort and well-being are important to us. Rocky's presence is always optional. If you are uncomfortable around dogs, have a dog allergy, or simply prefer not to have Rocky present during your visit, please let us know.

You can let us know when scheduling your appointment or when you arrive at the office. Simply tell our receptionist, and Rocky can remain in his designated area of the office and will not be in the room during your appointment.

We want every patient to feel comfortable, safe, and welcome at Reflections Mental Health.

What kind of dog is Rocky?

Rocky is a mixed-breed dog, and we like to think his unique mix is part of what makes him so special. His gentle nature, happy personality, and love for people are what make Rocky, Rocky.

How old is Rocky?

Rocky is still a young pup! He is currently under a year old and is growing, learning, and working hard on his therapy dog training.
