Rocky
Therapy Dog in Training
Rocky is our therapy dog in training and a special part of the Reflections Mental Health team. With his gentle personality, happy spirit, and love for people, he is learning how to bring comfort, companionship, and a little extra joy to the office.
Rocky was found all alone at about 6 weeks old just after an ice storm, barking as loud as he could in a fallen tree by the railroad tracks, hoping someone would hear him and rescue him. He quickly became part of our family. Rocky has always seemed to know that he was given a second chance, and he has always seemed incredibly grateful for the love and safety he found with us.
Rocky is still working toward becoming a certified therapy dog, so his time at the office is also part of his training. He is learning to be calm and well-mannered in different situations while developing the skills needed to support those who may benefit from his presence.
Of course, Rocky's favorite part of his training is meeting new people, receiving plenty of attention, and making everyone smile.
Rocky is always an optional part of your visit. We understand that not everyone is comfortable around dogs, and your comfort is important to us.
